Dogwood Run Down and picnic on the Natchez Trace - 09 April 2011

Four of the Cruisers met at Rebel Welding on Hwy 80 on Saturday morning and commenced our cruise at 10:00am. We headed south on Hwy 27 to the Natchez Trace, then south again on the Natchez Trace to Rocky Springs park. Luckily the government did not shut down, and we were able to stop by the park and enjoy a picnic. Prez Pete with wife Sara and their son led the pack in the 56 Chevy. Teresa, Tamie, and I followed in the 66 Mustang, De and Doug Reul followed in their Saturn Sky, and Todd and Kasey brought up the rear in another 66 Mustang. Everything cooperated that day - beautiful weather, a peaceful cruise, and no insects for the picnic! It's not really a picnic without ants and bees of some kind, but we managed anyway.

Even though there were only four of us that cruised that day we all had a very good time.

We returned to Vicksburg and went straight to Sonic for our fill of ice cream! What a day!

Happy Trails . . . ! We hope to see y'all next time !
